You can lose your entire deposit
Trading foreign exchange, metals, indices and other leveraged products is not suitable for everyone. Prices move quickly and can move against you. You should never trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and you should not treat funds allocated to trading as savings.
Leverage works in both directions
Leverage lets you control a position far larger than your deposit. It multiplies profits and losses equally: a small adverse move in the market can consume a large share of your account, and the higher the leverage, the smaller the move needed to do so. Choose your leverage deliberately, not by default.
Margin calls and stop-out
Your positions are monitored against the margin requirement at all times. If your account equity falls below the stop-out level shown for your account type, open positions may be closed automatically, without notice and at the prevailing market price, which may be materially worse than the level you expected.
Market conditions and execution
During volatile periods, news releases and market gaps, spreads can widen and orders — including stop-loss orders — may be filled at a price different from the one requested. Stop-loss orders reduce risk but do not guarantee it: they are not a guaranteed exit at your chosen level.
Technology and connectivity
Online trading depends on hardware, software and internet connections that can fail. Erad Markets is not liable for losses arising from delays, interruptions or failures in transmission that are outside its reasonable control. Keep an alternative means of contacting us available when you hold open positions.
